Trauma Informed Practice

Our trauma training has been developed as a form of praxis – “the use of theory to inform practice.” It is delivered via 3 standalone, yet interconnected workshops which can be complemented by additional optional training in targeted interventions.

The completion of all 3 workshops will enable participants to adopt the HEART model and develop the knowledge and skills to appropriately respond to the needs of vulnerable children, young people and families.

Our training is informed by the work of Paul Gilbert and Chris Irons, Bruce Perry, Daniel Hughes, Daniel Siegel and Bessel Van Der Kolk and is outlined below.
